September continues to bring an eclectic mix of music to the Treasure Valley! These are some of the concerts that people are getting excited for in the next month.

The Knitting Factory:

Come join the Basque Museum & Cultural Center as they host the 14th Annual WineFest event on the Basque Block on August 12th. The event will begin at 5:30 PM and run until 9:30 PM. Tickets are $30 a piece the day of the event, or $27 if you purchase them in advance. Tickets are also available in advance in packages of 4 for $100.

Alive After Five continues through the end of September and there is a lot to be excited about this month. A range of new artists are coming to Alive After Five and you don’t want to miss out. As always, Alive After Five is free to attend. There will be food and beverage vendors on site, so come on down after work, grab a bite to eat, a cold beverage and have a blast!

Come explore the 3rd annual Employee Art Exhibit, which will begin on August 25th at the Idaho Historical Museum. This is a great chance to get out and explore local artwork. The exhibit is sponsored by the National Arts Program Foundation and the City of Boise Department of Arts & History.

Family movie night is a past time for many families. Movies under the stars at Julia Davis park is a great way to get the family out and about while still keeping the pastime of family movie night.

Movies Under the Stars at Julia Davis Park is taking place on August 20th, starting at 7PM. The film being presented is, “The Chronicles of Narnia, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” rated PG. Beginning at 7PM there will be games and crafts for kids provided by Boise Parks and Recreation. The film will begin promptly at dusk.

The great concerts just keep on coming to Boise! August is another extraordinary month that brings a variety of artists from a number of musical genres to the Treasure Valley. Here are a few of the more notable concerts happening this month:

The Knitting Factory:

The Saturday Market in downtown Boise is a popular attraction that brings people from all over southern Idaho to experience the best fresh produce, performing artists and crafts that Boise has to offer. The Saturday Market runs weekly from 9:30AM – 1:30PM on 8th street between Bannock and Main street.

Hotel 43 and Revolution Vodka have partnered to bring you a uniquely Idaho experience. This all Idaho partnership is one for the ages! This partnership works so well because of both brands combined love for everything Idaho.

The 2nd Annual MTB Film Festival will be taking place at the Knitting Factory on July 21st, 2011 in downtown Boise. The film festival is focused around highlighting the best in mountain biking films from the past year. All proceeds from the event are to be donated to the Boise Bicycle Project and the Idaho Mountain Bike Trail Preservation Association.

Zoo Boise is hosting a fun run unlike any other! This year will mark the first annual “Run Wild at Zoo Boise.” The event will take place on Saturday July 23rd, 2011. This fun run is designed for children ages 3 through 12, and there will be two separate races for the separate age groups.
