Get Involved with the Boise Bicycle Project
As we all know, bicycling is kind of a big deal here in Boise. It is an easy way to navigate through Boise, whether you are zooming through the streets of downtown or are looking or a relaxing ride down the greenbelt. The Boise Bicycle Project is a community-oriented effort to promote the personal, social and environmental benefits of bicycling.
There are many opportunities for everyone to volunteer with the BBP, regardless of experience or expertise. BBP is a place where you can build and share skills in a non-threatening environment while meeting amazing people and making a huge difference in the community. Even if you don’t want to work on bikes, there are many other ways that you can help out.
If volunteering isn’t quite your thing, you can always check out the varying levels of membership in the BBP, which allow you access to their shop and community tools, weekly classes, and other learning materials that will help you build and maintain a bike of your very own! Members also get a discount on purchases made at the shop.
The Boise Bicycle Project is working hard to make sure that everyone in Boise has the resources necessary to build and maintain a working bicycle. Biking is one of the most popular modes of transportation in the valley, and is both affordable and environmentally friendly. Whether you want a daily commuter bicycle or are looking for something to take out on the weekends in the foothills, BBP can help!
