Discover the Best in Boise with the Capital City Public Market
The Capital City Public Market is beginning once again on April 21st, 2012! The Market gives residents of the Treasure Valley a central gathering place where local farmers and producers can sell their products to both locals and visitors alike. This is a great opportunity for shoppers to meet local producers and find a variety of high quality goods.
The Saturday Market in Downtown Boise runs from 9:30AM to 1:30PM on 8th Street from Bannock to the Grove and Idaho street between Capital Boulevard and 9th street. Growing since its inception in 1994, the Capital City Public Market now features more than 150 vendors in the peak of the season and occupies six blocks of Downtown Boise.
For a great roundup of what is in season, check out this chart from the Capital City Public Market.
Be sure to support local vendors by checking out the Saturday Market when it opens in a few short weeks. Supporting local producers not only helps support their efforts, but also is a great way to find the best local produce available. Buying local is great for your health, helps the community and supports our local economy.
