Do you ever wonder what happens to those tiny bottles of toiletries in your hotel room after you've left? For many hotels, they're simple thrown away, adding more plastic to the landfills. But why collect these items instead, and donate them to needy people? Introducing: Clean the World, an innovative a program that collects hygiene products from hotels, and then distributes them to impoverished people in the U.S. and around the world. Instead of throwing away millions of unused bars of soap, shampoo bottles, and other hygiene products - these items are redistributed to the people who need them most. This prevents millions of deaths caused by hygiene-related illnesses. Since its inception, Clean the World has eliminated over 750 tons of waste, and donated over 11 million soap bars and 325,000 pounds of shampoo and conditioner.
At Hotel 43, we're proud to be a part of this amazing program. It's just one of the ways that we strive to give back to our local community - and it's another reason that you can feel good about staying as our guest.
