TUBACHRISTMAS At The Idaho State Capitol Rotunda In Boise - Hotel 43
First conducted at New York City's Rockefeller Plaza Ice Rink in 1974, TUBACHRISTMAS brings traditional Christmas music to the Idaho State Capitol Rotunda in Boise on December 6th at 4 PM.  Conducted by Gregory Springer, the 41st TUBACHRISTMAS concert is a solo and ensemble repertoire of tuba and euphonium that reflects the heritage and artistry of these instruments. The majestic marble and sandstone rotunda in the Idaho State Capital Building is acoustic heaven this concert, with the deep bass of the tuba creating a magical sonic experience this holiday season.
TUBACHRISTMAS will feature many local and regional Tuba and euphonium players to participate in this exciting concert of Christmas and holiday music. The concert will feature 33 music selections, including songs arranged by Norlan Bewley, to enhance the original nineteen traditional Christmas carols arranged by Alec Wilder, the American composer who arranged the first TUBACHRISTMAS four decades ago.
Located in Downtown Boise, Hotel 43 is just steps from the Idaho State Capitol, the state's most treasured building. This charming boutique hotel features contemporary style accommodations, a business center, meeting space and Chandlers Steakhouse and Martini Bar - the best steakhouse in the city. After the concert, come enjoy corn-fed steaks and mouthwatering regional cuisine sourced from Idaho farms in the warm, chic ambiance of our BoDo eatery.

Registration to participate in TUBCHRISTMAS will be held at the Morrison Center at Boise State University at 1:00 pm.  Participant registration is $10.
