December 19 - 21, 2014
Spend a quality time with family watching one of the world's most time-honored holiday traditions. Enjoy the show as the toys come to life as the Ballet Idaho and Boise Philharmonic perform at the Morrison Center. Set to the music of Tchaikovsky, sit back and follow the story of the Mouse King, toy soldiers and a young girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince. Be awed by the stunning costumes, graceful ballet dance routines and enchanting stage sets.
Choreographed by Artistic Director Peter Anastos, the Ballet Idaho continues to bring to the public this beloved holiday tradition in glittering fashion. The celebration will include a cheerful Holiday party for the children, Clara's Nutcracker Doll, a magical mouse and the growing Christmas tree. More than 100 Ballet Idaho Academy children will join with the Ballet Idaho for the performance.
Located less than one mile from Hotel 43, the Morrison Center is Idaho's premier performance arts center hosting hundreds of live arts and entertainment events every year. Situated on the banks of the Boise River, the 10-story stage house is one of the most recognizable fixtures of the Boise skyline. The Morrison Center is host to nation and international performance communities and can accommodate the largest Broadway productions and concert circuits.
