It is once again time for the Boise Race for the Cure! This year will be the 15th annual Race for the Cure, where members from all over the Treasure Valley Community gather to join the fight against breast cancer. There will be both 5k and 1 mile course options, and this event will take place at the Albertson’s Headquarters. The race takes place on Saturday, May 11th.

It is once again time for Boise’s Annual “State of Downtown” Meeting. This year’s keynote speaker is Peter Kageyama, author of “For the Love of Cities”. Kageyama is an internationally recognized expert on community development and grassroots engagement. His book, “For the Love of Cities”, explores in detail the value of emotional engagement with our cities, and how that connection is created and nurtured, as well as how it can be turned into a development resource for places.
Lace up your shoes and get ready, because it is once again time for the annual Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run/Walk! This annual event takes place along the beautiful Boise City Greenbelt. The Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run and Walk begins at the Boise State University Student Rec Center on Saturday, April 13th, at 9:30AM. The Beat Coach Pete event allows racers to attempt to outrun Coach Chris Petersen to raise money for student scholarships. Finishers and supporters are invited to a “finish-line bash,” where they will have the opportunity to meet Coach Pete.
